A step back in time took place at the Desborough and Rothwell Photographic Society on Friday 7th. February. A feeling of nostalgia came across those old enough to remember as they were greeted with the sight of a Kodak Carousel projector and trays of 35mm slides. Wes Gibbon of Deepings Camera Club gave a talk about the city of Prague, illustrated with his slides which ranged from the 1990s to the early 2000s. Wes is a keen musician and music enthusiast, and it was his love of Czech composers such as Dvorak and Smetana that prompted his many visits to the city. His wide knowledge of the history and architecture of this fabulous city was appreciated by the audience. New chairman John Spowart thanked Wes for bringing back happy memories to those members who have visited the city of Prague.
