Dr. Anne Sutcliffe FRPS gave her print talk “Travelling Light” at the Desborough and Rothwell Photographic Society on Friday 21st. February. After many years of carrying heavy and bulky cameras around Anne made the switch to the Panasonic mirrorless GX8 camera system, hence the title for this talk. To say that Anne has travelled widely is an understatement. Cuba, Easter Island, Alaska, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Yellowstone Park are just some of the locations that provided her with great images, often involving travel hardships and risks that many in the audience would happily avoid. Given Anne’s long-standing reputation as a photographer, judge, Fotospeed lecturer and Royal Photographic Society advisor and assessor it was no surprise that the evening was greatly enjoyed and appreciated by all who were privileged to attend. Chairman John Spowart thanked Anne for a wonderful evening of photography.
